MF 80 steel panel formwork

The MF-80 panel formwork is conceived and produced by Construx. It is a multipurpose, robust and flexible shuttering system for on-site concrete jobs

The Tricon formwork is a robust and versatile shuttering system for all types of concrete works developed and produced by Construx

This shuttering system belongs to the category of heavy duty modular panel systems, and is suitable to be used on every site where concrete walls, columns or beams need to be realized in a cost-effective way.

With respect to the robustness and high resistance of 80kN/m², the weight of the panels is still limited, making the panels easy to handle with a crane. Through total quality management in design, production and logistics, we guarantee a constant high quality.

Application of the MF-80 system:

  • Galvanized and powder coated steel frame
  • 18mm plywood with a 220g/m² phenol coating
  • Plywood screwed from behind
  • Profiled sides
  • Steel conical tie holes

The MF-80 system meets the following requirements:

  • Rigid and solid
  • Easy and ergonomic
  • Designed and calculated according to applicable standards
  • In-house production, controlled and certified

Specifications of the MF-80 System:

  • Modular steel panel formwork
  • Panel thickness 12cm
  • Panels with large surface
  • Limited number of accessories
  • High pressure resistance 80kN/m²
  • Long life expectancy

A. Robust and stable:

All materials used are absolutely construction site resistant. The panels are constructed as a frame of steel profiles against which an 18mm wooden plywood plating is screwed. Inside protection by galavanization. Outside protection by galvanization and powder coating.

B. Easy and convenient:

Search time reduces and storage simplifies, due to the limited number of accessories. As a result, the assembly of the formwork on the construction site becomes extremely simple.

Types of Construx Tricon panels

  • Wall panels: 3 heights (330cm, 270cm and 120cm) with 7 widths each (240cm, 120cm, 90cm, 72cm, 60cm, 30cm and 24cm)
  • Universal panels: 1 universal panel of 72cm width per height, equipped with an extra hole pattern every 3cm. To be used for corners, wall connections, columns and as stop-end panels
  • Fixed corner panels: internal corners, to make 90° angles
  • Articulating corner panels: internal and external corners, to make sharp or blunt angles
  • Shrinking corners: to make stair cores and lift shafts
  • Bespoke dimensions possible

Application of the Construx Tricon formwork:

  • Connecting the panels is done with the Tricon Clamp. The panels are simultaneously clamped and aligned, 2 per connection for panels up to 270cm
  • The compensation waler with a length of 850mm has integrated hooks and can be used universally to align and to reinforce joints between panels
  • The 240cm wide panels have tie holes in the center, the narrow panels are fitted with holes on the left and right, the tie bars can be fitted through these tie holes
  • The maximum permissible working load of the Ø15mm and Ø20mm tie bars complies with DIN18216
  • At a wall height of 270cm: 2 tie bars
At a wall height of 330cm: 3 tie bars
  • Unused tie holes must be closed on the concreting side with a plastic cap
  • If there are 2 different panel widths next to each other, the ties go through the widest panel
  • 5cm, 6cm and 10cm infills are aluminium profiles, the standard clamps are sufficient for alignment, the tie bars are inserted through the infills
  • From 11cm to 23cm wide, infills have to be made in timber, the beams are joined to the panel with the clamp, a waler ensures the alignment, the tie bar goes through this waler
  • Straight angles are made by clamping an inner corner on the inside and 2 wall panels or a wall panel and a universal panel with a clamp on the outside
  • Sharp and blunt angles are made by using articulating corner panels on both sides, these corners are made of stainless steel
  • Single-sided walls are realized by using brace frames
